1st Week Done!!!

So I finished my first week of the 30 day paleo challenge! I already know that this will last much longer than 30 days! I feel amazing, healthy, energized. It's not super difficult to work out anymore, don't get me wrong, I still can't finish a whole workout DVD but it's better than only being able to do two to five minutes!!

I wish I had taken a picture last Monday because already I have lost.......... 13 lbs!! In one week, holy crap :) I was very excited and surprised to step on the scale this morning and see those numbers. It feel great and had made me even more motivated to keep going, to push myself when I want to quit and to remind myself of how much better I feel when I want to cheat!

So last week I walked during the week for 20 minutes and was able to get through 16 minuets of Tae Bo. My goal for this week is to walk as close to 30 minutes as I can and to try and get through all 25 minutes of Tae Bo. I might try my walk at home DVD again, if I do it's only 25 min of walking but it's much faster paced and it's full mile, I've only been doing 2/3 of a mile.

Here's to another week of paleo! I might check in half way through... if not see you all next Monday!

****I wrote this last week 6/24/13 and then got sick so I NEVER posted, LOL such is life****

3 Days Down

It's the end of the third day and I have learned so many things!

1. I actually like bell peppers!
2. I don't need to eat a pound of food to be full....
3. I do however need snacks between my meals!
4. I love walking with my daughter!

These first three days have been great. There are times I am hungry but I know I just need to get some more fruit or veggies to have around to snack on. I already feel like I can walk longer than the 20 minutes I've been doing. My arms and shoulders are sore tonight but today I added some wall push-ups to my daily routine.

I'm excited about the rest of the week. I have some fitness DVD's laying around and I am actually going to try them out! I get shrimp tomorrow for lunch, YAY!

I have been craving sweets and thank God I found dark chocolate almonds that are paleo friendly. They have helped me keep my sweet tooth in check without cheating! Of course it does not help that Rob has birthday cake oreo cookies in the house (eek!!) but I have my almonds :)

So heres hoping the next couple of days go just as smoothly and when I weigh in on Monday I've lost something!

Day one and it was a good day!!

First day of Paleo and it was good. I did feel hungry once but that's because I had my protein shake at 7am and did not eat breakfast till noon!!

Had a great walk with Nikki, even had enough energy to clean the kitchen, I know amazing right??

Lunch was grilled chicken with chili powder and a mix of vegetable, dinner was a turkey burger rolled up into cabbage, SUPER yummy! I ended it all with a serving of almonds :)

Tomorrow I am going to look into more Paleo recipes and start making my meal plan for another 30 days. I'm just glad and excited that I feel good, most of the time when I start a diet/lifestyle/healthy eating I feel like crap and I'm hungry ALL day, this is a good sign :)

Mmmmm lunch

*taken with my cell, sorry :)

Welcome back!!

Holy craziness, okay I am back and ready to kick some but this time!! Today I started the 30 day Paleo challenge. So far so good. Got up early and went for a walk with Nikki and then had a great protein shake for breakfast.

I'm ready to really keep on track this time. I know by making myself stick to something for 30 days will get my mind set on track :) So keep watching for daily (or mostly daily, lol) updates!
